Altadena, Calif. – March 1, 2004 – A new company, The MacNeal Group, LLC (tMG), announced its formation today as a California Limited Liability Corporation. The company said it will pursue the development of a product that will be targeted at the $80M NASTRAN software segment of the virtual product development (VPD) software market. The principle founder of tMG is Dr. Richard H. MacNeal, founder and former chairman of The MacNeal-Schwendler Corporation (now MSC.Software Corp.). Most recently MacNeal was a cofounder and chairman of Schaeffer Automated Simulation, LLC, which developed a NASTRAN® product that was marketed under the name AI*NASTRAN®.
