Current development efforts at tMG are focused on the production of a product called NASTRAN-xMG®. This product is based on a true NASTRAN architecture and has as its origin the source code that was used in the NASTRAN® program originally developed for NASA. NASTRAN-xMG contains a significant number of capability, performance and quality enhancements that were developed at Schaeffer Automated Simulation during the period May 2000 through December 2003. By continuing to build on this enhanced system tMG has advanced NASTRAN-xMG to the point where it represents a competitive alternative for a significant portion of the MSC.Nastran® or NX Nastran® computation that is being applied in numerous virtual product development processes today.
