NASTRAN-xMG
At the Heart of Virtual Product Simulation
The MacNeal Group, LLC (tMG) proudly announces NASTRAN-xMG®, built from the original NASTRAN® and updated with the latest technologies from the team that created the standard. NASTRAN-xMG integrates into your existing simulation processes, provides advanced features to meet your growing simulation and process needs, provides more accurate solutions, and the necessary performance to solve the large system simulations required in today's Virtual Product Development (VPD) environment. Industrial Strength Capabilities
Built from the same base code as the original NASTRAN® software created by NASA that includes the original NASTRAN architecture and DMAP language, NASTRAN-xMG provides unlimited problem size, high-speed solver technology, and substructuring analysis options, which allow engineers to solve extremely large and complex problems. This gives NASTRAN-xMG the power to perform such intricate analyses as airframe loads, turbine design, coupled loads, vehicle dynamics, noise/vibration/harshness (NVH) and durability. NASTRAN-xMG's unique substructuring analysis option facilitates collaboration between organizations working together to complete a single project. Better Solutions from New Element Technology
NASTRAN-xMG not only includes the most popular NASTRAN element formulations, but also includes a new set of solid elements. These new elements are the first in a series that implements the latest theory as developed by Dr. R. H. MacNeal, one of tMG's founders and the creator of the current standard in NASTRAN element technology. The new theory corrects long term and well-known problems with solid and shell elements including those in NASTRAN. Seamless Process Integration with GATEWAY
A cornerstone of NASTRAN success has been its open executive system and its language, DMAP. In common practice, users of NASTRAN have developed "DMAP Alters" (in-house DMAP sequences) to provide features to the NASTRAN software that allow for a tight integration of NASTRAN technology with competitive advantage analysis methods, in-house pre- and post-processing tools and so on. NASTRAN-xMG has taken this open architecture to another level with the NASTRAN-xMG GATEWAY module. In this product, the MacNeal Group has enabled an alternative method to develop and deploy process integration solutions around Nastran. With the GATEWAY, solutions that heretofore have been assembled from alters, intermediate files, process forks and in-house software can now be assembled into a fully self contained software component (Nastran Module) using the same scalable development tools that are used in the creation of Nastran itself. And, moreover, these solutions can be delivered to the end user community simply and cleanly. No Legacy Data Conversion or Process Re-Engineering Required
NASTRAN-xMG provides full compatibility with existing input or output files so that current users of MSC.Nastran®, FEMAP, I-DEAS, MSC.Patran®, HyperMesh, or other pre- and postprocessors interfacing with conventional NASTRAN formats can use NASTRAN-xMG without costly legacy data conversion. |
