NASTRAN-xMG currently offers a full-featured NASTRAN capability for performing the types of NASTRAN analysis that are most frequently performed in NASTRAN-centric CAE environments, namely linear statics and linear dynamics. The program is based on a "true" NASTRAN architecture that uses the Direct Matrix Abstraction Programming (DMAP) macro language. The NASTRAN-xMG capability is further extended by its Substructuring analysis option, which is designed to address the special demands encountered in analyzing large system models or supporting multiple organizations engaged in collaborative engineering efforts.
NASTRAN-xMG has been designed to extend the reach of product design simulation processes that utilize NASTRAN for finite element analysis. Adding NASTRAN-xMG to a product design simulation process allows other, more expensive, NASTRAN resources to be directed at specialized analysis tasks. By using NASTRAN-xMG, product development organizations can achieve design cycle time reductions, improve product reliability, and realize overall cost savings in the range of 30% to 50%, which allows them to stay ahead in today's rapidly advancing and competitive markets.
Transfer the bulk of your analysis to NASTRAN-xMG and save money!
NASTRAN-xMG can handle a majority of the NASTRAN analysis that is performed within a product design simulation process. Typically 75% to 85% of the analysis performed is of the linear static or linear dynamic type. These types of analysis can easily be offloaded to an economical NASTRAN-xMG resource, while allowing other more expensive NASTRAN resources to be used for analysis tasks that do not fall within the linear static or linear dynamic classes of problems. And for cases where linear static and linear dynamic analysis are the only types of analysis performed, NASTRAN-xMG can be used as a total replacement for other expensive NASTRAN products.
Improve your success in obtaining reliable simulation results!
The process of automatically converting CAD geometry into finite element models (FEM) can introduce errors that make the follow-on simulation results unreliable. Such errors are typically due to compromises in element shape quality that have to be made when the automatic conversion from CAD to FEM is performed on parts having complex geometries. The negative impact of these types of errors can be reduced by using the new and proprietary element technology that has been built into NASTRAN-xMG; resulting in improved levels of success in producing reliable simulations.

No need to retrain engineers or worry about legacy model data conversions!
NASTRAN-xMG has been designed to be highly compatible with the input and output data formats that are typically used in NASTRAN based simulations. This compatibility in data structure eliminates the need to retrain users of other NASTRAN products. The same modeling tools, analysis types and solvers they are familiar with are available in NASTRAN-xMG. And legacy model data conversion is not required because NASTRAN-xMG contains programmed features that automatically interrogate and modify input data which is in MSC.Nastran or NX Nastran format to make it compatible for processing by NASTRAN-xMG.
